Great facility. The manager Paul goes the extra mile to look after his customers/clients. There are slightly cheaper places but are they slightly better? A big massive NO!

I'm specifically reviewing the pool here because I didn't go to the gym. However I was very impressed. I used the facility with a guest pass that I had received from the nearby hotel where I was staying and had seen pictures of the old Edwardian pool on the internet. It didn't disappoint. There are old fashioned changing cubicles around the outside of the pool and lots and lots of lovely old tiles everywhere. The pool is around 25 yards long, just under 25m, and quite wide. Although it's not great for turning at the end (nowhere to push off the wall), is very wide and when I visited configured as just three lanes so plenty of space for overtaking. What particularly impressed me was that the lifeguards were both very friendly but also very professional in making sure people were swimming in the correct lanes and they washed before getting in the water. Highly recommended.
Lovely old pool, well maintained, nice staff, old style changing cubicles round the edge. Lovely to swim at a nice pool with history rather than the soulless modern ones. Slow, med, fast lanes laid out and not too crowded. And they do a 12 for 10 swims card at £42 which works out at £3.50 a swim so pretty good value too.

Good place for all sports. Gym, swimming, squash, and many more.
For local students it is a very nice offer, for Erasmus students too expensive because there is nearly no discount for their short period of time.
