Local Chambers of Commerce for B19 3TG. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
Birmingham Town Hall

Victoria Square, Birmingham B3 3DQ, UK – 0121 780 3333

I came here last year in December for the Geeta Brothers concert. The hall inside is very spacious and the seats are comfy. We sat through 3 hours and had a break mid way. It was a bit difficult finding the toilets and the drinks are pricey. There are different entrances inside and it helps finding these when it gets busy.

Birmingham Christmas Market 2017. This event is one of the best, mainly German fare, Christmas markets in the UK. Be brave & try some good old fashioned bartering for Christmas gifts ~ some beautifully unique items to more affordable gifts. Plenty of Bratwurst & mulled wine to go round plus the market stretches along the main shopping street so coffee at Costa or a tasty baguette at Subway are all there amongst best UK's high street stores. Singing reindeer! German beers. Intricate glass globes & cosy suede moccasins. German candle carousel's, confectionery & 'nuts & bolts' characters are all here. From bargains to luxury goods. Guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit!

Will Murphy Dentistry

51 Newhall St, Birmingham B3 3QR, UK – 0121 236 7630

Went in for a clean up and polish, after being abroad and using many different dentists over 12 years, this I have to say is the best service and the cleanest I’ve ever had my teeth, looking forward to my next appointment in 6 months

I have been with Will for over 20 years, in fact since he took over the practice when it was upstairs in the building. I soon had my first two implants and now have nine. I have always been treated in a friendly and yet professional manner and believe that Will has always done his best to sort out my problems. He puts a lot of thought into planning his work, using the best materials. I would never dream of going abroad to have implants. The process isn’t as quick and easy as people think! Having a good set of teeth is the best way to stay looking as young as possible. Long may Will and his team be able to help his customers achieve this. I cannot thank Will enough!

Birchfield Dental Practice

195 Birchfield Rd, Birmingham B19 1LL, UK – 0121 554 1066

I would have given them 5 but I find their reception staff to be dim-witted and having poor customer engagement skills, in fact they are very robotic. They dentist and the hygienist tend to be good and approachable. I have been with them 5 years so this is not based on one visit but many.

All round Excellent Services, I was very nervous about visiting the dentist as i have had bad experiences in the past. But the dentist was caring and understanding. This Dentist has been recommended by friends and i travelled all the way from nuneaton as i am very particular about my dental care. i am glad i made the choice of going to this practise. I recommend this dentist to everyone

Massive difference compared to my last Doctor's. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a good place to visit.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Birmingham

The Warehouse Cafe

54-57 Allison St, Birmingham B5 5TH, UK – 0121 633 0261

An incredible vegan cafe! I honestly didn't think vegan food could taste this good! Went for Sunday Lunch and it was delightful. Very quick and friendly table service, food arrived swiftly and are huge portions for the price. I very much recommend this place for a nice meal or raven just a coffee in the chilled ambience.

Great vegetarian cafe. Good menu with lots of options. I had the Buddha bowl, which was delicious. The fruit and veggies were all fresh and the various beans and grains went well together. Nice interior and nice staff.

Gaucho

55 Colmore Row Lower Ground Retail, Birmingham B3 2AA, UK – 0121 439 9236

Thank heavens they've softened the ambience a bit. Still underground, but less steel and mirrors, more drapery which means the echo and noise has abated considerably, which makes it a much more pleasant experience. This is THE place to have steak, it's fabulous in that regard. Also good for lunch and evenings alike. Being Argentinian, they cook things on the rarer side of normal for me, so my tip for diners is thus: where steak is concerned I normally go 'medium-rare', but here I go 'medium' and that is perfect, and I mean perfect. Vegetarians will find a very slim choice, so check the menu online first if you think this may sway your booking or enjoyment

My wife and I came here for our anniversary in August 2017. We felt like it was a magical evening and like the staff wanted us to truly enjoy our evening together. Just came here today for Father's Day and my father-in-law absolutely loved it! He's nearly converted, just need to get him to try the steak now!

Zizzi Birmingham Brindley Place

3 Brindley Pl, Birmingham B1 2JB, UK – 0121 792 3507

We liked this Zizzi, it was not heaving with the usual lunch crew and we weren't cramped with two young children and a buggy. The staff were attentive and assisted with the options for the deal we used, even coming back to us to clarify the details before we ordered. The food came out quickly and was a decent portion size for all of us. Not a ground breaking menu but tasty Italian pizza/pasta as expected in a chain restaurant. Worth a visit.

Good food served in a timely fashion by friendly staff. Slightly let down by the tables outside not being cleared and food underneath them.

Nursery and Preschools

Lime Tree Day Nursery and Preschool

300 Gillott Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B16 0RR, UK – 0121 455 6026

My nephew attends this fantastic nursery and I couldn't be more impressed! His development has come on in leaps and bounds since starting. The staff are amazing and so helpful. Always available and happy to assist with any queries or issues. I would definitely recommend to others.

Norfolk House Nursery

3 Norfolk Rd, Birmingham B15 3PS, UK – 0121 452 1485

The Staff members are very friendly and have the right skills knowledge and qualifications in childcare they all work very hard to keep the children happy and safe. The Nursery provides delicious food for the children and provides amaizing resources for planning activities and also the Nursery is dotated with a spacious garden with good equipment. I highly recommend Norfolk House Nursery, Harborne Road.

Edgbaston Nursery School

41 Calthorpe Rd, Birmingham B15 1TS, UK – 0121 455 7887

I have gone through so many Nurseries. I visited maybe 10 and joined 2 for maximum 2 weeks but none was as good as this nursery. They care about the child they let them play outside often. They have HALAL meals. And most important that they work as a family.

My son has attended Edgbaston nursery school from baby room right through to pre school,I cant rate this nursery highly enough. I now have my second son joining after Xmas as I am going back to work after maternity leave, and I'm so happy to leave him as my first son loves it, The staff are very friendly and go out of there way to do as much as possible to make my son feel special. I receive text messages on how my son is doing and what activities they are doing during the day and I love it, it stops me from calling all the time to see how he is, Although sometime I do its so nice to hear he is ok and the staff are happy to explain how he is and put him on the phone to talk to me if I need to ...happy mommy :-)

West House School

24 St James Rd, Birmingham B15 2NX, UK – 0121 440 4097

Both of my sons attend West House early years department. The school is well run and aims to make boys into well rounded individuals. They focus on academic excellence as well as sports and a large number of pupils go on to pass the 11 plus examinations. I would recommend this school without reservation.

I am from Oman and I went to this amazing school there is no school such as west house school well except Alsahwa Schools

St. Georges School

31 Calthorpe Rd, Birmingham B15 1RX, UK – 0121 625 0398

This is an outstanding school, where teachers are kind, personable and approachable and where each child is treated as an individual. My son has just completed year 3 (in Lower School) and had an absolutely fantastic teacher in Mr Wernick. The teaching is interesting, stretching and balanced. St George's is what you wish every school could be like. Friendly, relaxed and encouraging each child to learn at their own pace.

St Georges School Edgbaston is the place to be for pupils who want to achieve great things, be a huge success and live life to the best of their ability. It is filled with teachers who are passionate about their subjects and give pupils opportunities most other schools don't give. It is the place to become wise, strong and distinguished.
